Garden Evolution-Stage 4
Backyard Complete
We celebrated in the garden over the weekend with nine of my favorite peopleđ!
What a beautiful day, and most certainly proof that at least one of my beliefs is totally made-up đł. Now speaking of random thoughts and beliefs that roll through the lower mind (the crazy monkey that knows only obsessive, running self-criticism and the related âto-doâ lists)âŠthe low vibration topics during the garden revamp included fear, mortality, lack of knowledge, general limitation and loneliness.
Ughđ«.
One of my most-used methods to uncover, acknowledge and clear the lower-mind uglies is ACTION!
We all have running thoughts and sometimes follow them around as though they are true. Rather than sitting still and meditatingâwhich, no matter how positive, often just creates new thoughts or frosted and temporary affirmations, and donât really work with the more tenacious programsâI like to take an action.
Meditation or self-reflection can be a wonderful tool, yet the electro-chemical body doesnât always get the message from these (potentially falsely affirming) moments and cannot make the transition in its patterns for a real change. Though it may seem and even feel different for a minute, the lower vibration thinking will likely return.
The body must be involved to turn the âthingâ around because programs are most deeply lodged in the part of the brain that governs motor controlâphysical movement patterns are created from thoughts-emotions-chemicals-neurological sensations that become motor (movement) patterns.
Itâs called the motor sensory complex of the brain in the prefrontal cortex.
The body really does need to move (act) to resolve inefficient, unproductive patterns at every stage of their developmentâphysical, chemical, emotional and ideological (beliefs).
So, when I feel the first signs of dissonanceâheavy, tired, unmotivated, etc.; or hear self-negating mental disturbances, I begin to create something. As the creation unfolds, the thoughts arise and either drop away or morph into emotion and then chemistry. As long as I donât push the feelings aside, they slowly *boil down to their most basic and original form and go back to whence they came or turn to ashes.
*Yeahâthat will soon need a bit of explanation, though not today.
The key is to be aware and breathe. Keep creatingâwrite, paint, draw, make music and use your bodyâdance, walk, etc; and take the action through to completion.
While you do these activities, just breathe and release, letting it all go rather than following the thought into a story which only cements the lie (thatâs the belief in the lower vibration thinky-monkey).
Once the project or action is complete, there is a new perspective which allows usâme and you, to tell a better, different story.
Here are a few more angles of the completed backyard project and a reminder of its earlier appearance.
Before
Note the ferns have been filled-in alongside the house.
More Back-Sideyard Angles:
One night soon Iâll get some pictures of the lighting and post them so you can see its magical essence!
And, the front yard will be transformed over the next few weeks. Hereâs a current photo and kindergarten drawing of the evolutionary plan.
This was taken in the early Spring by a neighbor across the street.
The Basic Frontyard Plan
Essentially, all grassâwhich becomes very mossy without poison treatment in the PNW, will be removed and replaced with amended soil, various heather plants and bark surrounding and in-between the fruit trees. Pebble-stone and flagstoneâlikely enhanced with lavender to steer the deer away, will be placed to create a pathway to the side yard meditation garden and around the outskirts.
Plans for an expanded veggie garden next year is underway! Greeneâs Fencing has already delivered the elevated cedar beds which will be set-up and planted early in the Spring.
Wow! This was an amazingly cathartic and satisfying experience for me. Who knew gardening could be this internally transformational and fun!

Thanks for sharing your creative process Chele. I love seeing the evolution of your garden. And best of all was being there and seeing you and your garden in person!
And so grateful for the message, once again, that action is what will change my/our old patterns of thinking and acting.
"Who knew gardening could be this internally transformational and fun!" Me. I knew this, my fellow Virgo Rising friend! Your yard looks lovely and sooooo PNW. How magical. :)
